The Southeast Training and Employment program, also known as Indigenous Skills and Employment program (ISET) and formally known as “Pathways to Success”, began in 1995. The Southeast Training and Employment program services members of the following six First Nations: Hollow Water, Black River, Bloodvein, Little Grand Rapids, Paungassi, and Poplar River.
The Southeast Training and Employment Program is delivered through the Southeast Economic Development Division and focuses on providing training and employment opportunities to help our community members enhance their skills and development to strengthen their ability to secure jobs.
The Southeast Training and Employment Program’s main goal is to provide opportunities for individuals to improve their long-term employment prospects and potential careers. We do this by offering support in the following areas: career research and exploration, employment counselling, job search preparation strategies, job start support, skills development, occupational skills training, work experience, employment retention support and more.
