Community Economic Development Program

The Community Economic Development Program is a grassroots-driven program created to strengthen rural economies by enabling entrepreneurship and assisting in community economic development. The program’s effects have included greater utilization and increased value of land and resources under community control, more community government revenue from economic development, enhanced community economic infrastructure, and much more.

Indigenous Women Entrepreneurs

The Indigenous Women’s Entrepreneur program helps open the pathway of entrepreneurship to Indigenous women, strengthening individuals and communities alike. Participants work to create their own employment with help from workshops, micro-loans, and other business resources.

Southeast Training and Employment Program

The Southeast Training and Employment Program, also known as the Indigenous Skills and Employment Training Program (ISET) began in 1995 formerly under the name “Pathways to Success”.  Southeast Training and Employment has provided support to First Nations communities in career selection, skills enhancement, job searching, and employment maintenance, with special consideration for youth and people with disabilities. The Southeast Training and Employment program is funded by a direct agreement between the Southeast Resource Development Council Corporation and Canada as represented by the Minister of Employment and Social Development Canada and the Canada Employment Insurance Commission.

Entrepreneurs with Disabilities Program

The Entrepreneurs with Disabilities Program (EDP) offers business services to people with disabilities or health conditions interested in starting a business in southeastern Manitoba. This program is open to anyone with a viable business idea who has a disability or a health condition.
